Save the fruit puppy popsicles!

Every pup deserves to be spoiled with these puppy popsicles! After receiving our floofsters DNA results from Embark, we found out our little rescue Kingston is half Samoyed (the white fluffy happy dogs). Samoyed's are Siberian animal's which were originally used for herding reindeer and sledding. Yet somehow this little guy ended up on the NYC streets in the dead of summer where temperatures reach over 100 degrees. Our solution? Puppy popsicles! This is another great way to use up fruit that is going bad in your fridge and reduce your waste.

Fruit which is high in polyphenols provides dogs with incredible health benefits such as reducing the risk and spread of cancer, chronic inflammation allergies, heart and autoimmune diseases. If that isn't enough, polyphenols found in fruit also help balance your dogs gut, producing vitamins and helping to modulate their immune system. Even wolves in the summer months eat up to 25% of their diet from fruit and other plant matter. So the next time you've got berries that are about to turn, or you've just about finished your sliced summer watermelon, be sure to make your pup some easy popsicles so they can enjoy this healthy, tasty treat.

*Please double check the fruit you are using is dog safe, and if your dog has a lactose allergy, use a non dairy yogurt alternative.
