Basil Ginger Mocktail

Anti-inflammatory mocktail

While we are all pretty aware that alcohol damages the body, we also now know that this mocktail can support it! Both basil and ginger are anti-inflammatories, which combat diseases including arthritis, cancer, and diabetes.

What I didn’t know until recently is that alcohol is a known carcinogen. I knew it was bad and didn’t make my body feel good (hence why I’ve started this Mocktal journey), but I didn’t know that ANY amount of alcohol can increase your risk of cancer. Research shows that alcohol can damage DNA, leading to cancer in any area it touches our body including mouth and throat, esophagus, larynx (voice box), liver, colon, rectum, and breast.

This realization is scary, especially as someone who spent years binge drinking and partying. Luckily this new information means we can make better choices today, starting with this anti-inflammatory mocktail!
